Magical 'World of Warcraft' leaves reality behind

From a comfy chair, feet up on the handmade wooden rest her husband made for her marathon World of Warcraft sessions, Beth Cox, 52, guides Myrdanne, a shape-shifting Night Elf with long goat-horn-like ears and various glowing scepters sell WOW Gold through the medieval city of Dalaran
Lately, Cox, who was laid off from Ford a year ago, pulls up to her computer after dinner. She puts reality on pause for three to four hours while Myrdanne, one of dozens of WOW avatars known as “toons,” gathers herbs for her vocation as an alchemist, rides unicorns and raids dungeons. Sometimes Myrdanne turns into a tree that can move. Apparently, it enhances her healing powers.
